When this service is needed

  1. 01

You never filed Form 5472, or you are not sure

The IRS can assess $25,000 for each Form 5472 that is not filed, filed late or filed incomplete. If the form is still missing 90 days after an IRS notice, an additional $25,000 can be assessed for each 30-day period, and the tax year generally stays open for review.

How we solve it: we review every year since your LLC was formed and file what is missing.

  2. 02

Your LLC had no income this year

The form is required for each year with a reportable transaction between the LLC and its owner or another related party, such as money you put in, money you took out or formation costs you paid, even with no income.

How we solve it: we identify each reportable transaction from your bank statements and report the correct totals.

  3. 03

You are not sure how to send it

For a foreign-owned single-member LLC, the IRS instructions call for Form 5472 attached to a pro forma Form 1120 marked "Foreign-owned U.S. DE", sent by fax or by mail.

How we solve it: we prepare the complete package, send it as the current instructions require and keep the confirmation for your records.

The cost of waiting

Postponing a tax obligation has a measurable cost.

These are penalties the IRS applies. In most cases, acting before the deadline is the most economical option.

FAQ

Questions about this service

If your question is not here, write to us and we will answer it in English or Spanish.

Ask on WhatsApp
Do I have to file Form 5472 if my LLC had no income?

Usually yes. If the LLC has a foreign owner and there were transactions with the owner, such as money to open the company or pay its expenses, the form is normally required. We review it with you.

How much does it cost?

It depends on how many years need to be filed and how many transactions there were. You receive a written proposal with a fixed fee before any work begins.

Can I file it myself?

Yes. The IRS does not require a professional. Many owners prefer an Enrolled Agent because an incomplete form can carry the same $25,000 penalty as a missing one.

I missed prior years. What now?

Contact us soon. We file the missing years and review whether you can request penalty relief for reasonable cause. The IRS decides each request.

Do I need to travel to the U.S. or have a Social Security number?

No. Everything is done remotely, and your LLC uses its own EIN.
